A dewy recap
We've been continuing our Brunch with Dr. Jart series. If you've missed them you can catch up by following us on Instagram here. A quick recap—last month we invited a group of New York's most talented influencers for an intimate brunch with Erica Choi of Egg Canvas at the Standard Empire Suite. Our gorgeous group of invitees were given the chance to try our collection of prescription masks. These are perfect for relaxing. They are also a wonderful prep-step for tomorrow morning's makeup. We're introducing a whole new collection of masks that are perfect for a quick break while doing other tasks, so stay tuned! You can keep an eye out for news on our website as well as Sephora online and in stores.

Light summer products
We've launched a couple new products that are perfect for your summer collection. One of our favorites is an addition to our Ceramidin line. Our new Ceramidin Day Tint is a great tinted moisturizer with additional SPF protection to prep your skin for BB creams and further contouring. We recommend lighter products for summer because excess foundations and coverup can be heavy for the heat.

Ceramidin Day Tint
Keep it casual this summer. Protect your skin from the sun and let it breathe with lighter coverage. Our new Ceramidin Day Tint is part of our favorite ceramide-based moisturizing range. Suitable for sensitive skin, this tinted formula provides extra SPF protection under BB cream. It can be applied before makeup for a sheer cover to achieve a greater skin tone balance.

SEPHORA Beauty Insider Reviews

 Love it

This product is great for a quick, everyday look. It's easy to blend and it's great to use with fingers, a brush, and it's also great with a beauty blender.I love this product for my normal skin. I've tried a ton of foundations and tinted moisturizers and this is a dependable product!

 Different than other tinted creams

I have only used a sample that I got a Sephora this weekend, but I think this cream may go into the vastly different category: in a Good way! This is different than other tinted creams in that it sinks in and doesn't lay on top of your skin—even if your skin is a bit dry and flaky. It somehow neutralized my red skin, and made it look calm and dewy, but not in that overly wet way. I can't say enough about it. I love it. I also found it slightly tightening, but again, not in extreme. When this sample is done, I will be hoofing it to Sephora for a whole tube!

Meet Olivia Lopez of @lustforlife, a travel writer and photo journalist based in Downtown LA. She started Lust for Life in high school, when she was a music festival-obsessed teenager using her blog as an outlet to daydream and a place to recap on weekend jaunts. Lust for Life is the name of an Iggy Pop song and Olivia's overall metaphor towards life. Read on for more.
Q1: Tell me a little bit about yourself and how you ended up where you are.
I often dabble in freelance design, consulting, and content creation with brands. I started Lust for Life while I was a student still daydreaming about traveling the world, and happy to call my hobby my full time job. While I was a student, I interned every where I could—local newspapers and magazines, assistant buying, styling, and even worked random jobs putting concert posters up for for record labels and writing product sku's for tradeshows. Going out and gaining experience early on really helped while blogging was still evolving and eventually became an industry of its own.The varied experiences really helped mold my work ethic for the diverse span of work that blogging produces.

Q2: We love your creative work! Where to you get your inspirations?
I'm visually insatiable and get my inspiration everywhere. Travel, architecture and interior spaces are a few things that fuel me, but I'm also obsessed with colors and lighting at different times of the day. I'm really inspired by independent magazines like The Travel Almanac and The Gentlewoman who have such a distinct and unique spirit about their publication. I also stalk people's work I admire on Instagram. LA is also a place that inspires me. There is always a hidden pocket of town waiting to be discovered.

Q3: What role does Art play in your life?
Since my job was a hobby that turned into a profession, I feel like staying inspired plays a key role in the way I execute and create content. Art plays such a huge part of my daily life. I'm always looking to be inspired by new ideas and images to be moved by, while constantly referencing things I love from films, architecture, music, fashion and current events.

Q4: Do you have some secret tips for staying healthy and fit?
Cutting down on processed food has been a game changer in my diet in the way I feel, as well as showed the most results in clearing up my skin. I definitely recommend trying out the Paleo diet, even if it's just for a day or a week! It completely changes your perception of food.

Q5: Traveling can become quite stressful. What is your skincare routine like, away from home?
While I'm in transit I always carry a huge water bottle and order rounds of green tea on the plane. Before boarding a flight I would normally apply a thick, heavy night cream to prevent my skin from drying out. Upon landing, I typically will use a Clarisonic to clean out my skin followed by a rejuvenating face mask. My 6 step skin care routine then follows!

Q6: What are some of your favorite Dr. Jart products?
The BB Contour kit never leaves my make up bag. I only wear it out on special occasions as to not run out so quickly, but I receive so many compliments when I use it. I also love the Water-full hydrogel mask, my skin is visibly shinier and brighter after each use!

Art and culture are central to our world, and we love checking out the amazing events that New York City has to offer. Here are our top picks right now.
The Whitney Museum just finished their move downtown to the Meatpacking District and we had the amazing opportunity to preview. Their collection is always wonderful and the new architecture by Renzo Piano is pretty amazing.
